This NVDA add-on enables you instantly to look up word definitions, synonyms, and antonyms using the Merriam-Webster Dictionary API. Also includes a 'Word of the Day' feature to expand your vocabulary, all without leaving your current application.
With the release of version 2.0, the add-on introduces full compatibility with the 64-bit NVDA 2026 release. Major new features include a smart text replacement tool for synonyms and antonyms, advanced wildcard searches, intelligent spelling suggestions for typos, and a highly upgraded history dialog with multi-selection, sorting, and filtering capabilities. It also retains its optional sound effects scheme and the conflict-free layer-based shortcut system.
To learn more about the add-on, you are invited to visit its User Guide by pressing the shortcut key Ctrl+Shift+D and then pressing F1.
